Since its inception over 12 years ago the department has built a reputation for exemplary cardiac care in the region. The department is managed by well qualified and experienced consultants with previous experience of working in the UK, USA and Pakistan in reputed institutions. There are 3 cardiologists and 2 cardiothoracic surgeons in the department. Patients are seen in the cardiac OPD or in the ER if presented in an emergency. Department offers consultative, diagnostic and interventional cardiology services to the population of the region and has the latest state-of-the-art equipment for both noninvasive and invasive cardiology services. Department of cardiology is backed by a dedicated cardiac surgery department led by 2 renowned cardiac surgeons.

The Department of Cardiology has the latest state-of-the-art equipment both for non-invasive and invasive cardiology services.
Noninvasive services include ECG, ETT, Transthoracic, Echocardiography (ECO), Transesophageal ECHOCardiography (TEE) 24-hours holter monitoring, ambulatory, BP Recording, outpatient pacemaker and ICD follow-up and dedicated nuclear cardiology suite for MIBI scans.
Invasive cardiology services includes diagnostics coronary and peripheral angiograms, coronary angioplasties, pacemaker and ICD implantations, PTMC, BPV and peripheral arterial embolization and IVC filters. There is dedicated 24/7 on call Rota for primary ECI for acute myocardial infarction.
